It's time again for the annual "Snowman In The Forest" contest, which runs from first snowfall of the Winter to last snowfall in February, with our official Snowman in the Forest Day on February 18, 2012 from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm.
There are three snowman entry categories and all snowmen have to be built in one of the areas of Cook Forest or Clear Creek State Park designated as "Snowman Territory." Snowman photos will be taken by area business people and submitted for judging online at www.cookforest.org and www.pagreatoutdoors.com.
Rules and Other Info:
- Contest begins with the first snowfall of the season and ends in March.
- A separate Entry Form, available at any participating business is required for each Snowman and must be given to a participating business on the day the snowman is created. ( Date of Birth on Entry Form)
- Snowman must be built in a "Snowman Territory" using natural snow with at least one feature over three feet tall.
- Clothing and props may be used but they will be discarded when the snowman goes away.
- Snowman must be suitable for all viewing audiences. "G" rated only. No obscenities.
- Use of the State Park Land and Private Land for this event is at your own risk and liability.
- For written notification of winners, please attach a self-addressed stamped envelope to Entry Form.

Snowman Territories:
Cook Forest State Park - Snowman may be built along River Road starting at the Cooksburg Post Office and going up the Clarion River for about one mile. This area includes a lighted ice skating pond and sledding hill, children's play area with swings, many picnic tables, outdoor charcoal grills, and public restrooms.
Clear Creek State Park - Snowman may be built in the cabin and camping area.
Private Land - Snowman may be built in areas designated as "Snowman Territory" by the following businesses. These businesses have contest entry forms & will photograph your snowman. Look for "Snowman Territory" signs
