	Come to Cook Forest and capture it's natural beauty with local nature photographer, Kevin Kaltenbaugh. Workshop includes winter hike with guided instruction by Kevin, and a delicious lunch at Gateway Lodge for $25 per person. Guests to bring own camera and appropriate gear. Workshop is geared towards beginner to intermediate skilled photographers and will cover correct exposure in snow, using snow and ice patterns in compositions and tips for photographing in cold weather. 	It's time again for the annual "Snowman In The Forest" contest, which runs from first snowfall of the Winter to last snowfall in February, with our official Snowman in the Forest Day on February 18, 2012 from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm. There are three snowman entry categories and all snowmen have to be built in one of the areas of Cook Forest or Clear Creek State Park designated as "Snowman Territory." Snowman photos will be taken by area business people and submitted for judging online at www.cookforest.org and www.pagreatoutdoors.com.

As you enjoy your weekend getaway in a fireside Jacuzzi suite, your senses pique as mystery takes place all around you. 	Cook Forest State Park and the Sawmill Center for the Arts will host a series of living history events depicting life during the French & Indian War. Highlights of this full two-day encampment include children's programs, woodland natives, cannon and musket firing demonstrations, sutler camp, council and trading events, live tactical engagements, nationally renowned living historians, and French & Indian War era painters. Take a walk back in time at the Sawmill Center for the Arts to view British, Colonial, French, and American Indian re-enactors as they portray lifestyles of the 18th century.
